Tuna Ularthiyathu (Tuna Stir Fry)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Canned Tuna (I used canned tuna in water) 250 Grams
  • 2. Mustard seeds 1 Teaspoons
  • 3. Coconut bits (thenga kothu) 1 Tablespoons
  • 4. Onion finely chopped 1 Nos
  • 5. Green chilli chopped 3 Nos
  • 6. Ginger chopped 2 Teaspoons
  • 7. Curry leaves 1 Nos
  • 8. Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoons
  • 9. Red chilli powder 2 Teaspoons
  • 10. Coriander powder 1 Teaspoons
  • 11. Black pepper powder 1/2 Teaspoons
  • 12. Fenugreek powder 1/8 Teaspoons
  • 13. Coconut oil 2 Tablespoons
  • 14. Salt to taste

PREPARATION

1. Squeeze out all the water from the canned tuna.

2. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds.

3. Add coconut bits and fry for few minutes.

4. Add chopped onion and fry till translucent.

5. Add green chilli, ginger, curry leaves and saut? for few minutes.

6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, fenugreek powder and fry for few seconds.

7. Add tuna along with enough salt. Mix well and stir fry for 5-6 minutes (To avoid sticking to the bottom drizzle little oil). Cook until it is dry and brown. Remove from the heat.

8. Serve with Roti/Chapati/Rice.
