Spinach Rice

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Spinach - 1 cup
  • 2. Pudina (chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • 3. Corriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • 4. Green chillies - 2
  • 5. Onion (chopped) - 1
  • 6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 7. Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • 8. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • 9. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • 10. Refined oil/ghee - 2 tsp
  • 11. Cooked rice - 1 cup

PREPARATION

1. Blanch the spinach leaves and drain them.Now make a paste of it with pudina, coriander leaves and green chillies. Keep aside.

2. Heat a kadhai with ghee/refined oil. Then add the chopped onion and saute till golden brown.

3. Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell is gone. Then add the powdered masalas, salt and stir.

4. After a few minutes, then add the spinach paste and saute till the masala leaves oil. Then add the cooked rice and mix. Check for salt and serve.
