INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Unakkalari /Payasam Rice 1 cups
  • 2. Jaggery ,(increase or decrease) 6 nos
  • 3. Salt 1 pinch
  • 4. Grated coconut 2 tbsp
  • 5. Water 3 1/2 cups
  • 6. Cardamom 3-4 nos
  • 7. Ghee 1 tbsp
  • 8. Tulsi leaves 2-3 nos

PREPARATION

1. Soak rice for 20 minutes

2. Then wash well

3. Take a cooker and pressure cook the rice by adding water for 2 whistle in medium flame

4. Boil jaggery in water and strain well

5. When the rice is well cooked ,add jaggery and mix well

6. Add salt and grated coconut and mix

7. Now cook for 5 minutes stirring continuously

8. Finally add ghee and Tulsi

9. Check the taste,So the tasty payasam is ready to serve
