Rava Idli/Semolina/Suji Idli

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Rava 1 1/2 cups
  • 2. Curd 1 cups
  • 3. Baking soda 1 tsp
  • 4. Salt 2 pinch
  • 5. Sesame oil 2 tbsp
  • 6. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • 7. Grated carrot 1/2 cups
  • 8. Green chilli,chopped 1 nos
  • 9. Coriander leaves,chopped 1 sprig
  • 10. Urad Dal 1/4 tsp
  • 11. Chana dal 1 tsp
  • 12. Hing/kayam podi 1/4 cups

PREPARATION

1. In a kadai heat oil splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and then add chana dal and roast in medium flame

2. Then add grated carrot, green chilli , leaves and saute till raw smell goes Now add rawa and roast for 2-3minutes

3. In a vessel add beaten curd along with roasted rava mix mix well

4. Then add salt and 1 cup of water soak for 20 minutes

5. Then check the water consistency I added 1/4 glass more water

6. So u add accordingly heat the steamer and get ready so just before making idly add baking soda and mix then immediately pour batter in the mould

7. Fill 3/4 th portion or it will spill steam for 10 min or until cooked well

8. Serve with spicy Tomato , coconut chutney
