Pumpkin Payasam

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Pumpkin puree -1 cup
  • 2. Roasted Vermicelli -1/3 cup
  • 3. Milk -2 Cups
  • 4. Sugar -1/3 cup
  • 5. Cashew nuts - 8-10
  • 6. Raisins -8-10
  • 7. Makhaane - 8-10
  • 8. Chironji - 1 tsp
  • 9. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • 10. Clarified Butter (ghee)- 2-3 tbs
  • 11. Almonds -6-7

PREPARATION

1. Take a pan and add 1/2 tsp of ghee and roast the cashew, raisins, Chironji, almonds fir 2-3 minutes on low flame..take out and keep a side..

2. Now roast makhaane for 2 minutes then take out and keep a side...let Cool all the dry fruits and then roughly Crushed.....

3. Now add remaining ghee in that pan and add pumpkin puree.....stir well for 2 minutes

4. Cover the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame....

5. After 10 minutes add milk and stir continue for 2 minutes then add Vermicelli and stir again for 2 minutes....Now let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame....

6. After 5 minutes add sugar and mix well... again cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame...Now add crushed dry fruits & switch off the gas then add Cardamom powder.....

7. Pumpkin Payasam is ready to serve..... Garnish with chopped pistachios....Served hot... Enjoy the taste.
