Mixed Vegetables Masala Khichdi

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Basmati rice 3/4 cup
  • 2. Masoor Dal 1/4 cup
  • 3. Yellow moong Dal 1/4 cup
  • 4. Chana Dal 1/4 cup
  • 5. Finely chopped onion 1
  • 6. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • 7. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  • 8. Cloves 2 _ 3
  • 9. Green cardamom 1
  • 10. Black cardamom 1
  • 11. Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  • 12. Whole black pepper 2 _ 3
  • 13. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • 14. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • 15. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • 16. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • 17. Chopped carrot 2 tbsp
  • 18. Chopped beans 2 tbsp
  • 19. Chopped potato 1
  • 20. Green peas 2 tbsp
  • 21. Chopped tomato 1
  • 22. Water 3 cup
  • 23. Clarified butter 2 tbsp
  • 24. Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp

PREPARATION

1. Heat clarified butter in a pan. Add whole garam masala to crackle. Now add onion and saute until transparent. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well. Add all veggies and mix well. Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well Add chopped tomato and mix well. Add half cup of water and cook for  6 - 7 mins in low flame Wash all dals and rice and strain it. Add rice and dal in the pan ad saute for three to four mins and transfer  the masala mix veg khichdi toin the pressure cooker with three cup of water. Cook for ten mins Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
