Lauki Kofta Curry

Delicious curry Serve with chapaati.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Grated Lauki(bottle gourd)- 1.5 cup
  • 2. Chopped onion -1 Medium
  • 3. Ginger-garlic paste -1.5 tbs
  • 4. Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 5. Chopped green chillies- 1-2
  • 6. Beaten yogurt -2-3 tbs
  • 7. Tomato Puree -2 Medium
  • 8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • 9. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  • 10. Garam Masala -1/2 tsp
  • 11. Kitchen king masala -1.5 tsp
  • 12. Salt to taste
  • 13. Chaat masala -1 tsp
  • 14. Kashmiri red chilli powder -1 tsp
  • 15. Chilli flakes -1 tsp
  • 16. Fenugreek leaves- 1.5 tsp
  • 17. Crushed Whole spices (2 black Cardamom,2green Cardamom, cumin seeds 1/2 tsp)
  • 18. Gram flour (besan)-1/2 cup
  • 19. oil 2 tsp

PREPARATION

1. You can adjust the spices according to your taste....

2. Chaat masala and Chilli flakes only for the dumpling's mixture....

3. Process:

4. Take a mixing bowl and add grated lauki, chaat masala,some salt, Chilli flakes and mix well....make a soft dough without water...

5. Now deep fry the dumplings of this mixture into hot oil on low-medium flame....Take out the dumplings and keep a side

6. Now add 1/4 cup of oil into a kadhai and Crushed Whole spices, garam masala, Chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste & green chillies....saute for 3-4 minutes on low-medium flame.......

7. Now add all the spices and few drops of water and stir for 2 minutes....

8. Now add tomato puree and stir for 2 minutes....

9. Now add yogurt and stir for 3-4 minutes on low-high flame...... Add some water(according to your consistency) and simmer for 5-7 minutes...

10. Now add the dumplings and simmer for 2 minutes on low flame and add Fenugreek leaves & Coriander leaves....
