KILIKOODU ('Nest'- egg snacks)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Egg 5 nos
  • 2. Potato 500gm
  • 3. Carrot 200gm
  • 4. Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • 5. Garlic paste 1/4 teaspoon
  • 6. Green chilli 4 nos
  • 7. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • 8. Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • 9. Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon
  • 10. Oil 200gm
  • 11. Vermicelli 100gm
  • 12. Salt 1 tablespoon for taste
  • 13. Bread crumbs 200gm

PREPARATION

1. Boil eggs and potato 5 minutes to cook well. REmove outer coverings

2. Add 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and heat chopped carrot, chilli, ginger, garlic for 3 minutes

3. Add garam masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder

4. Switch off heat after 2minutes

5. Make mixture using above cooked masala, bread crumbs and potato by mixing all

6. Cut the boiled eggs into half

7. Cover each egg by above mixture

8. Dip each roll in beaten egg

9. Roll (cover fully) with vermicelli

10. Heat in a pan with oil under low flame, up to it become brown color

11. Malabar traditional snack KILIKOODU is ready for serving
