INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Unakkalari /Payasam rice Or Njavara Ari(Red Raw Rice) 1/2 cups
  • 2. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • 3. Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
  • 4. Chada kuppa 1 tsp
  • 5. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • 6. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • 7. Asaali 1 tsp
  • 8. Water 4-5 cups
  • 9. Grated Coconut 3 tbsp

PREPARATION

1. Soak everything for 20 minutes except coconut and turmeric powder

2. Soak kakkum kaya for 7-8 hours

3. Wash everything well

4. Grind fennel seeds ,mustard seeds, cumin seeds ,Chadu kuppa ,coconut,turmeric powder and kakkum kaya by adding water to fine paste

5. Soak and wash the rice and cook by adding water for one whistle in medium heat

6. When the rice is cooked well add the ground paste and mix well

7. boil for 10 minutes and off the flame

8. Finally sprinkle some asaali and serve mild hot so the tasty d healthy karkkidaka kanji is ready
