Kand And Beetroot Patties

  • 1. 1/2 kg purple yam
  • 2. 2 beetroot
  • 3. 4 tablespoon arrowroot powder
  • 4. 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 5. 1 teaspoon ginger and green chilly paste
  • 6. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 7. 1 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 8. 1 teaspoon sendha namak
  • 9. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 10. 2 big sized sweet potatoes
  • 11. 4 tablespoon oil


1. Boil purple yam, sweet potatoes and beetroot. Peel and grate. Take one bowl add grated purple yam, sweet potatoes and beetroot mix all, now add ginger and green chilly paste, dry mango powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, black pepper powder and sendha namak( according to taste), mix altogether and prepare round shapes patties. Keep one frying pan on flame add 4 tablespoon oil roll patties into arrowroot powder and place in the hot oil. Shallow fry it from both sides. Serve hot or cold with corriander chutney or tomato ketchup. This patties can be consumed during fast also.
