Jackfruit Halwa

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Jackfruit 4 kgs
  • 2. Jaggery 1 1/2 kgs
  • 3. Salt 2 pinch
  • 4. Water 3 cups
  • 5. Ghee 2 tbsp
  • 6. Dry Ginger Powder 1/2 tsp

PREPARATION

1. De seed jack fruit

2. Take a deep bottomed kadai and add jack fruit

3. To this add water and cook by closing the kadai

4. Stir occasionally

5. When the jack fruit is cooke well allow it to cool down

6. Then make paste by adding small amount in a blender by adding water

7. Now switch on the flame and again add this puree to the kadai

8. To that add melted jaggery add 4 glass of water in 1 1/2 kg

9. Now add ghee and mix well

10. Cook in medium flame until u get a thick consistency

11. Check the taste and u can add more jaggery d ghee if u need

12. When the halwa consistency reaches switch off the flame and allow to cool

13. So the tasty healthy jack fruit halwa is ready to serve
