Indian Mithai Overnight Oats

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. rolled oats 1/2 cups
  • 2. milk 3/4 cups
  • 3. honey 1 1/2 tsp
  • 4. Sprig bourbon vanilla extract 1/2 tsp
  • 5. Sprig true cinnamon 1/2 tsp
  • 6. Sprig whole green cardamom from Idukki 1/4 tsp
  • 7. nutmeg 1 pinch
  • 8. strands of saffron 2-3 nos
  • 9. raisins 6-7 nos
  • 10. Some chopped almonds and pistachios 2 tbsp

PREPARATION

1. Gently warm 4 tsp of the milk with the saffron strands until you the milk gets a yellow hue.

2. Then combine all the ingredients together in an airtight mason jar, cover and refrigerate overnight.

3. It’s ready to eat in the morning!
