INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Ponni Rice 1 Cups
  • 2. Curd 1 1/2 Cups
  • 3. milk 1 Cups
  • 4. oil 1 Tablespoons
  • 5. urad dal 1 Teaspoons
  • 6. mustard seeds 1 Teaspoons
  • 7. green chillies chopped 3 Nos
  • 8. chopped ginger 3 Teaspoons
  • 9. Curry leaves 1 Nos
  • 10. coriander leaves 1 Teaspoons
  • 11. dried chillies 2 Nos
  • 12. roasted gram 1/2 Teaspoons
  • 13. salt 1 Teaspoons
  • 14. asafoeteda powder 1/4 Teaspoons

PREPARATION

1. 1.Cook one cup of ponni rice and smash it a bit.

2. 2.Take a pan, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, roasted grams,add grated ginger ,dried chillies and curry leaves to it. saute well.

3. 3.Take 1.5 cup of curd and 1 cup of milk and mix well, add salt to taste.

4. 4. mix rice , curd and milk mix and the sauted ingredients together , add a pinch of asafoeteda powder.

5. garnish with coriander leaves.

6. Its a perfect main course meal which can have alone or with raitha, pappad, kondattams or pickle.

7. I have served curd rice with fried curd chillies , home made rice flakes and lemon pickle
