INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Broken wheat 1 cups
  • 2. Water 2 3/4 cups
  • 3. Carrot 1 nos
  • 4. Beans 2 tsp
  • 5. Onion 1 nos
  • 6. Ginger 1 tsp
  • 7. Green Chili 2 nos
  • 8. Curry Leaves 1 sprig
  • 9. Oil 500 ml
  • 10. Salt 1 tsp
  • 11. Sugar 1 tsp
  • 12. Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
  • 13. Urad Dal 1 tsp
  • 14. Cashewnuts 5 nos
  • 15. Raisins 10 nos
  • 16. Lemon Juice 1 tsp

PREPARATION

1. Wash the wheat and drain well

2. Heat oil in kadai and roast the wheat, Keep aside

3. Now heat oil in a cooker ,splutter mustard seeds,urad dal ,and cashew nuts

4. Then add onion, ginger ,green chilli ,curry leaves and salt, saute till transparent

5. Then add vegetables and saute for few minutes

6. Then add hot water and boil

7. Then add wheat and mix well,allow to boil

8. Then check the salt , Add sugar and lemon juice

9. Now close the cooker nd cook for 2 whistle in medium flame

10. After that allow to cool

11. Then open the cooker and with a fork puff up the upmavu

12. So the tasty and easy broken wheat upma is ready to serve
