Black Chana Sundal

INGREDIENTS

  • 1. 1 cup black chana
  • 2. 3 green chilly
  • 3. 2tsp oil
  • 4. 1/4 tsp mustard
  • 5. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 7. 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8. 1 cup coconut
  • 9. 8 curry leaves

PREPARATION

1. Soak the chana for five hours. Rinse, put water and cook in pressure cooker for three whistles. Make seasoning. Add mustard seeds, as it crackles put asafoetida, turmeric powder, green chilly and Curry leaves. Now, put the cooked chana sans water. Add salt. Let the flavours imbibe. Put coconut and heat for five minutes. Black chana sundal is ready to serve.
