INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Basmati rice -1/2 Cup
  • 2. Sugar - 2-3Tbs
  • 3. Salt to taste
  • 4. Green Cardamom -2
  • 5. Cloves -4-5
  • 6. Bayleaf -1-2
  • 7. Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
  • 8. Clarified Butter (ghee)- 1-2Tbs
  • 9. Cream (Optional) - 1 tsp
  • 10. Cashew nuts - 6-7
  • 11. Raisins - 7-8
  • 12. Turmeric powder (haldi) - 1/4 tsp

PREPARATION

1. First of all take a vessel and add rice with 2.5 cups of water & Turmeric powder...Mix well and cook till 60% on low-medium flame.....

2. Now drain the rice and keep a side....

3. Take 1/2 tsp of ghee in a pan and Roast the dry fruits... After roasting take out in a bowl and keep a side....

4. Now take remaining ghee in that pan and add Cardamom, cumin seeds, Bayleaf & Cloves....stir for 30 seconds

5. Now add 1/4 cup of water and then add sugar...Mix properly

6. Now add rice,dry fruits & salt and stir.....

7. Add little water if needed... Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame... Stir continue during cooking process..

8. After that switch off the gas and add cream and mix properly........ Garnish with Roasted Nuts & basil leaves... Served hot... Enjoy the taste..
