INGREDIENTS

  • 1. Rawrice (Pachari) 1/2 kgs
  • 2. Dry red chillies 50 gms
  • 3. Cuminseeds (Jeeraakam) 25 gms
  • 4. Sesame seeds(Ellu) 25 gms
  • 5. Asafoetida powder(Kayam) 1 tbsp
  • 6. Salt ,as required 1 tsp

PREPARATION

1. For preparing ari kondattam/vattal, grind together all the ingredients

2. Then add 2 litres water and knead well

3. Put the mixture in the murukku press

4. Press it over a cloth and sun dry it

5. Deep fry the dried kondattam in oil and serve with rice
